Observatory for Violations of Freedom of Opinion and Expression
Across Tunisia, journalists, artists, and citizens still face intimidation for speaking their minds. The Observatory transforms silence into evidence — documenting every violation, amplifying every voice, and making sure that truth is never buried.
Who We Are
The Observatory for Violations of Freedom of Opinion and Expression (OVFOE) is a Tunisian civil-society initiative jointly founded by the Social Accountability Association and the Intersection for Rights and Freedoms Association.
Established in 2023, the Observatory was created to monitor, document, and respond to violations of free expression in Tunisia — including arbitrary arrests, prosecutions, censorship, and intimidation of journalists, activists, and citizens.
Stand with us—help ensure every Tunisian can speak freely and without fear.
